Can we help?
Frequently Asked Questions
Services and general
How can I order the service?
Select the package that suits you best, add it to your cart, and click the "Order" button. You will then need to provide the pickup and delivery locations, as well as your preferred time slots.
How will I know when the courier arrives?
Your order confirmation includes all the details about your pickup and delivery schedule.
When will I receive the laundry bag?
We provide branded bags for our subscribers. After your first order, your clean clothes will be delivered in this bag, which you can then use to collect the next load.
What if the laundry I’ve prepared doesn't fit in the bag provided by the courier? Can I buy an extra bag from the courier?
Items exceeding the size of the DS Fresh bag or the maximum weight limit must be placed in a new bag. The simplest way to do this is to log into your account on your phone and purchase an additional bag in the presence of the courier. If you are unable to weigh the textiles beforehand, you can still ask the courier to take them. In this case, we will weigh the bag at the laundry, notify you of the difference, and send a payment request to your registered email address for the balance. Once settled, we will proceed with processing your items.
What if my laundry weighs less than 5 kg?
Our bag size is tailored to the volume of a standard 5 kg household washing machine. Therefore, it is possible that your textiles reach the maximum volume before reaching 5 kg in weight. You also have the option to select items individually, in which case the weight is not taken into account.
What should I do if I have more than 5 kg of laundry?
In this case, please order an XL bag or multiple bags!
What if I accidentally mix up what goes in the bag? For example, if I put an evening dress in with my everyday clothes.
Upon arrival at our laundry, every bag is inspected for both quantity and quality. If we notice an item that requires different handling, we will contact you. You can then decide whether you would like that item cleaned for an additional fee or returned to you in its original condition.
Can I drop off my clothes in person?
Yes, if you prefer, you can bring your clothes in person to the DS Fresh point in your area. Our salon is located at: 64 Bíró Lajos Street, Budapest 1089.

How does the linen rental service work?
It is available through a subscription system for bed linen and towels. The rental fee includes the cost of the textiles, washing, ironing, and delivery. If you are interested, please write to us.
What guarantee do I get for my clothes?
Please refer to sections11-13 of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
Are you sure my clothes won't get mixed up?
Yes, we are. When a bag arrives at the laundry, its contents are inspected for both quantity and quality, and recorded in our system. We tag every single item received (using water- and chemical-resistant paper tags that you can easily remove after cleaning). This way, we know exactly how many pieces and what types of garments you handed over, ensuring you get back exactly what you gave us.
When and on which days can I drop off my clothes in person?
Please check the opening hours published on our website and our Google Business profile. Normally, you can visit us in person on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
What if service is not available in my ZIP/postal code area?
Do you perhaps have a friend living in an area we already serve? Team up together. You can easily check on our website where our service is available, and if you leave your contact details, we’ll notify you as soon as DS Fresh becomes available in your area too.
What extra services can I request?
You can browse our additional services under the “Additional Services” section on our website. For example, you can request waterproofing treatment, ozone cleaning, or ironing-only service alongside your order.
For courier orders, the minimum turnaround time is indicated for each package. Currently, express service is only available in person at the DS Fresh Salon
and depends on available capacity.
Are there any textiles you do not clean?
-At the moment, we are unable to clean leather items. Although our technology technically allows it, larger or fully leather garments may require recoloring and special aftercare, which we currently cannot provide.
-Real fur garments.
-We do not clean medical textiles — we cannot accept items contaminated with blood or bodily waste.
-We accept textiles with normal everyday wear and staining. In case of special stains, please contact us in advance so we can discuss whether your garment can be safely cleaned.

About technology and wet cleaning
What does AquaTouch mean?
AquaTouch is a professional garment-cleaning solution developed by the companies Girbau and Seitz for cleaning all types of clothing using water-based technology. AquaTouch is designed to replace traditional dry cleaning, making it one of the most environmentally friendly garment-cleaning solutions available on the market.
The international organization CINET, representing 750,000 industry companies worldwide, awarded the AquaTouch system with an excellence award. The system has proven to meet the organization’s high standards for wet cleaning in stain removal, prevention of greying, and overall garment appearance.
The washing and drying machines developed by Girbau are especially gentle on garments: precise temperature control, delicate mechanical movement, and computer-controlled custom programs ensure a careful cleaning process that does not damage even delicate fabrics.
Seitz contributes advanced washing technology that enables disinfecting effects even at low temperatures, protects wool and silk fibers, and makes ironing easier.
What is wet cleaning?
Wet cleaning is a professional cleaning method that allows even delicate garments — including wool and sensitive fabrics — to be safely cleaned with water. This environmentally friendly solution replaces traditional dry cleaning based on harsh chemical solvents.
Using computer-controlled technology and specially developed biodegradable detergents, garments labeled “dry clean only” can also be professionally processed. An important part of the process is the professional finishing stage, during which the garment regains its final shape and appearance.
Another advantage is that it leaves clothes with a fresh, clean scent while helping preserve vibrant colors. You can read our detailed guide here:
DS Fresh Wet Cleaning Guide
What is the difference between dry cleaning and wet cleaning?
In traditional dry cleaning, garments are cleaned not with water but with solvents and chemicals. Conventional dry cleaning commonly uses perchloroethylene-based solvents, which are highly toxic, corrosive, and potentially carcinogenic substances.
For this reason, dry-cleaning machines operate as closed systems: garments go in dry and come out dry to ensure solvent residues remain below safety limits and do not enter the air or wastewater systems.
However, at DS Fresh
, we believe neither our customers, our employees, nor the environment should be exposed to such risks — which is why we do not use traditional dry-cleaning technology.
While dry cleaning can be gentle on wool, it often damages decorative buttons or beads and does not effectively remove odors. Children’s clothing should never be processed in traditional dry-cleaning machines, as potential chemical residue evaporation can be especially dangerous for children.
Overall, the use of traditional dry-cleaning solvents is now heavily restricted and regulated in many Western countries.

Why is DS Fresh cleaning technology more sustainable than home washing?
International studies show that industrial garment cleaning uses 58% less water, 17.5% less energy, and produces 24.2% lower CO₂ emissions compared to home washing.
There are also several additional sustainability advantages:
While home washing typically takes 2–4 hours, industrial cleaning usually takes only 15–30 minutes.
Professional cleaning is gentler on textiles, extending the useful lifespan of garments.
At home, professional stain treatment is not available, meaning permanent stains are more likely to remain in fabrics, shortening garment lifespan and increasing waste.
Household washing machines cannot effectively filter microfiber pollution and lint, resulting in significantly more microplastics entering waterways.
Household washing machines are typically used only 1–3 hours per day, while industrial machines can operate up to 24 hours a day. Manufacturing and disposing of many household machines also requires substantial natural resources and creates additional waste.
